In Miami, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Florida on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Miami is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Miami peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Food is always good here, but service was really lacking today. I waited for over 12 minutes for my pizza, and, as I waited I saw at least 10 other orders that came after me served. Had to tell the attendant twice that they had forgotten about my pizza.

As a New Jerseyan transplant, a good New York slice is what I’ve really been missing. Most places only sell by the pie down here and for me, that’s just wrong. So when coworker who’s lived down here for years, told me to try Casola’s, I was instantly on board. My wife and I pulled up and instantly I knew the vibes. This legit feels like a New York pizza spot. It’s dimly lit, a little run down. There is limited parking in the front, plenty in the back. There’s wings, subs, pizza and other items on the board. The pizza smell hits your face as soon as you enter and your mouth starts watering. I ordered three slices and an order of wings for my wife and I too share. The slices and wings are huge. So please be warned. The pizza is massive and exactly what you’d expect from the Jersey shore or a Brooklyn slice. The wings are massive. Everything was hit and delicious. While it still lacks some of that special water that makes NY pizza so special, this is the closest thing you can get to a real taste of the Big Apple. And of course you can order by the slice or pie if you’d like. Overall, this has become my new goto pizza spot. A warm welcoming atmosphere with a chaotic kitchen. Feels li

Food is good when they get the order right, called 30 minutes ahead for a pickup, asked for a very well done cheese slice which the threw in the oven WHEN I GOT THERE! should really just asked for a refund. Worst part is that they stated to my face that the order was ready until I paid then its "oh I need a crispy cheese after the fact.

This place is been there for years and years. It’s more like a casual cafeteria style restaurant with lots of seating. They are famous for their pizza, which without doubt is delicious, so fresh and flavorful. Their pizza slices are so big, you get full with just one. Staff is courteous and friendly. They have back and front parking.

Casola’s Miami: Legendary Pizza, Unmatched Generosity, and Service That Stands Out I came to Casola’s Pizzeria on the recommendation of a friend who’s a regular—someone who swears this is the best pizza in Miami. After my visit, I get why. From the moment you walk in, the service is beyond excellent. The team is welcoming, fast, and genuinely passionate about what they do. One of the most unique touches? They let you sample different pizzas for free—a level of generosity that’s rare and refreshing. Massive Slices, Huge Flavor We ordered: • Two slices of cheese pizza – the classic choice, and absolutely spot-on. • One slice of Casola’s special – bold, loaded, and bursting with flavor. To be honest, each slice is practically the size of a full pizza—but the quality is never compromised. The crust is thin, flavorful, and perfectly baked, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are beyond generous. Special shoutout to Alejandro Alejandro, who works there, is an absolute legend—kind, energetic, and clearly a key part of what makes this place so special. Verdict: A Miami institution that lives up to the hype Casola’s isn’t just about big portions—it’s about big heart, authe
